The Vickers, drunken ghosts
For people who know or feel targeted. The movie “Aross The Universe”, is a sort of tribute to the Beatles and sexually unrestrained youth, at a point we stop at wall of pierced strawberries, dripping in juice, before which the main actor is having fun interpreting “Strawberry Fields Forever” in the metaphorical effects of woodstockien trip. This wall and everything else including images and music, appeal to many idols, bodies and tense souls. Forgive me for the analogy of too much – a simplistic cliché – but mental representations are sometimes stronger than anything. So intoxicating is the music of The Vickers, we inevitably fall into the panel.
The atmosphere is uplifting. A lost break whilst straddling, the psyche heart, the listener inhales the slick essence of Italians: “Ghosts” is ghostly (no kidding!) – Call a spade a spade. From the rock of the 60s to the swollen spleen of the 90s, ten spectras swirl gently in a kaleidoscope of warm colors. When some are more naughtily done (“All I Need”), others finish by opening their chakras (“Senseless Life”). An electrifying dream that is certainly promoted towards a multitude of hallucinations.
