Adrien Lacheré, visceral eloquence
In the prosaic air of Thailand, photographer Adrien Lacheré sent us these brief and chiseled words. It’s a reflect of a sharp man, without concession and who does not cloud the head with futile and vain questions. Immersion is vital. The scenery feeds his art, enriches his slideshow of deep-rooted snapshots. He perceives, thinks, purifies violence and the repeated, hidden and wrapped up. Everything comes from a sour eloquence, from a repressed exhibition, from the cunning bandit of Rocancourt. When the street becomes his filter, his muse breaks his vices.
On the t-shirts “Cash” and “Habitat” of the new collection are the photos of Adrien Lacheré and his travels soaked in ether. The meeting.

Hey Adrien ! We get that the world is like your sandpit, you are all over the place. Tell us, is it good to live in Thailand?
It’s good yeah! Incidentally it’s 40 ° (!) …
Can you tell me a little about your background?
I started taking photos about 5 years ago, before I was a boxer. When I had to stop due to a physical glitch, I had nothing to do so I started taking pictures.
Is traveling your way of cutting the routine short? Is it something vital which you can not control?
Traveling is a way to take the lead, avoid putting on slippers, that is what is vital.
In your two sets of photos, ” No Heroes ” and ” Los Angeles ” , we mainly see that the street offers the most. But paradoxically, this is all out of the field, like a watermark. I would say that your pictures describe a false calm violence , unpredictable and sudden . What do you think ?
That’s exactly it! Particularly in the “No Heroes” set, there is a lot of violence, a kind of suffocated violence. And it is not pornography! Sometimes, suggesting some things is more meaningful than signboards.
Do you have any heroes, people who are more or less close to you or artists that influence you artistically?
Christophe Rocancourt.
1 film / 1 book / 1 album, tell me …?
Scarface
My lives – Christophe Rocancourt
Lunatic – Snake Eyes
Besides traveling and photography, is there something else that makes you tick?
Books !
Your photos adorn some Olow t-shirts. What do you look for in this kind of collaboration?
I quite like the idea of having my photos on a support that you can wear everyday.
Other projects, destination ideas, ulterior dreams?
Japan will be my next destination.
I usually end up with a pretty stupid question. If you were invisible, what would you do?
I would probably find a way to become visible. But before I would definitely make a trip to Fort Knox ..
