Deuxième jour ici et déjà un tas d’anecdotes! On est à Hikkaduwa, un endroit dépaysant et paradisiaque, le genre de couleurs qu’on ne pense être qu’une retouche photoshop lorsqu’on regarde une photo sur Google image. Que dire des vagues, de l’eau assez translucide pour contempler des bancs de poissons bleus aux reflets rouges nager sous les planches, des tortues qui émergent à la surface pour respirer à seulement quelques mètres, parfois assez près pour pouvoir les toucher! Les gens sont incroyables, simplement chaleureux, généreux et souriants!

 

 

14 Novembre 2012 – 20H29

 

De retour après l’ascension de l’Adam’s Peak: De nuit, on a gravi plus de 10400 marches sur 15 km jusqu’à 2500m d’altitude. Mais l’épreuve en valait la peine. Au sommet se trouve un temple bouddhiste à partir duquel on a pu contemplé le soleil se lever et rayonner sur tout le pays. Magnifique!

 

Chose étrange, le seul à m’avoir suivi voir guidé par moments était un chien. J’ai monté le col en 1h45 alors que les bouquins estiment la durée de l’ascension à 2h pour les personnes les plus affutés accompagnées d’un guide! Je marchais, tout le le monde s’arrêtait d’épuisement alors que j’étais comme poussé ver le pic, une sensation vraiment bizarre et tellement incroyable! Une fois arrivé, je me suis demandé si ce chien n’était pas un moine bouddhiste réincarné qui me montrait le chemin et me protégeait. Aux portes du temple, il s’est assis sur l’une des dernières marches juste à côté de moi comme s’il avait accompli sa tâche.

 

Après la descente, on a acheté des bonbons, on est allé au village et on les a distribués aux enfants! C’était vraiment émouvant! Une famille nous a littéralement tiré chez elle, nous a offert à boire, à manger et a même voulu me marier pour nous remercier. J’ai poliment refusé, tu te doutes. Ils étaient simplement heureux de nous recevoir.

« Notre voyage a commencé au Sri Lanka début novembre, on s’est envolé un mois plus tard en Australie, on y reste jusqu’à mi-février avant de passer un mois en Indonésie. Retour prévu le 19 mars. »

« Tous voyages ont leur nombre d’imprevus et on peut dire qu’on a été servi ces derniers temps..!

Problèmes d’argent liés au renouvellement de la registration de notre voiture, aux factures de téléphones exorbitantes, etc .. Bref, on a du remédier à nos nudismes bancaires respectifs en travaillant, illégalement puisque nos visas ne nous le permettent pas, dans le jardinage et la manutention..! »

« Oh, l’idée qu’on peut se faire de Bali, son soleil, sa chaleur et ses vagues est loin d’être ce qu’on vit depuis 3 semaines ici.. On avait omis un détail sur les dates de notre séjour: c’est la pleine saison des pluies! Autant te dire qu’on a droit à de l’humidité (beaucoup!), plus de moutons dans l’eau que dans les prés de notre chère Dordogne et du temps à ne pas savoir comment tuer!

 

C’est pas faute d’essayer. On se lève tôt tous les matins, on enfile nos ponchos, chevauchent nos scooters bravant la pluie et le traffic indonésien d’Est en Ouest en passant par le Sud à la recherche de vagues. En vain. Une sorte de quête de la vague à la Point Break sans happy ending.

 

Alors on s’occupe comme on peut descendant nos 3 litres de Bintang quotidiens quelque fois délaissés pour une bouteille de whisky local, le « Drums », dont le nom est bien choisi tant il tape en rythme sur le crâne.

Toutefois, même si on est déçu de la tournure que prend notre surf trip, la chose dont on est un peu plus satisfait tous les jours est cet accueil que chaque balinais nous réserve où que l’on se rende: le sourire, la générosité et l’intérêt qu’ils peuvent porter à leurs hôtes malgré le peu de biens qu’ils possèdent me font ressentir suffisamment de respect, d’humilité et d’inspiration pour avoir envie de revenir. À la bonne saison. »

How do I return my package from France?

Return shipping from France is free via Mondial Relay.

To return your parcel, it is very simple :

  2. In the list of your orders, select your order,

  3. If your order is eligible for return, please tick each product you wish to return. If a product has been ordered in several copies, you can indicate the quantity to be returned.

  5. Once your return request has been validated by our team, all you have to do is stick your pre-paid label (provided at the time of delivery) on the package, insert the completed returns form in the parcel and drop it off at a Mondial Relay point.
