The journey from Nantes is a little epic of about eight and a half hours. Leaving at 7.55am, we arrive at 4.24pm. My playlist therefore lasts as long as the journey. Having made it afterwards, I've put in everything I really listened to in March (I remember discovering Alice Phoebe Lou's album Glow that day, still on the platform in Nantes station) but also songs I've discovered since then at La Bergerie, during sunny car journeys, while cooking at lunchtime or in the evening after dinner. It also includes songs by Emma, Nina, Vincent and our friends Julien Gasc and Lætitia Sadier with whom we went on tour in July.
During this day linking my city to theirs, I had time to think at length about the record we were going to make - how to articulate my songs in the best way, what I wanted to tell in it, the colours that would compose it, the musical, pictorial and cinematographic references that had shaped it as well as the memories that were told in it.
