No-VAN-ber Roadtrip

Prendre la route pour l’Espagne dans un van un peu bancale ressemble à une épopée moyenâgeuse qui relève de l’exploit.

Les douaniers à moustache ont vu tellement de guignols tenter de passer la frontière la voiture blindée de cocaïne dans la couture du siège passager et des sachets de marijuana dans le faux plafond de la Mercedes qu’ils ont un sixième sens pour déceler les petits malins de la côte basque qui se la jouent caïds en allant danser à San Sebastian jusqu’à 8h du matin sous LSD.

Passer la frontière sans un contrôle expert et poussé des douaniers énervés quand on est au volant d’un Hyundai blanc cassé, dont la carrosserie est plus ravagée que la tronche d’une vielle toxicomane sous méthanphétamine, est donc un franc succès.

On pouvait d’ores et déjà appeler tout ceci une folle aventure à peine les roues du van posées sur le territoire Espagnol.

On a longé la rivière de la Bidassoa en direction de l’Est, ce qui nous changeait de tout ce qu’on avait pu faire auparavant. L’Est fait partie de ces destinations auxquelles on ne pense jamais. Elle est l’oubliée de nos aventures, comme si nos cartes ne présentaient que trois points cardinaux. On faisait alors notre Mea Culpa en direct à cette direction qui n’avait pourtant rien à envier à la tumultueuse Atlantique.

Dans cette partie de l’Espagne, les forêts se font denses, tantôt vertes tantôt rouges. C’est une valse de couleurs qui se déroule devant nos yeux. Le spectacle est grandiose et la route sinueuse. Elle se dandine en longeant les flancs montagneux. Le pare brise prend soudainement la forme d’un écran de télévision qui nous offre, pour une fois, un programme délicieux.

Le plongeon est immédiat mais la descente est douce. Le décor est somptueux. Nous entrons dans le territoire de la Navarre où seuls 40 km ont suffit à transformer nos étendues océaniques en une immensité multicolore. Malgré le bruit inquiétant qui empêche toute communication verbale à l’intérieur du véhicule, j’ose espérer que les quatre roues du van font un effort inconsidéré pour s’agripper à la pente raide. L’altitude donne raison aux 40€ d’ essuie-glaces récemment dépensés. Je croise les doigts en espérant que les douaniers à moustache ont bien fait de nous laisser passer sans excès de zèle.

Les gouttes sur les vitres se font plus lourdes, plus épaisses, plus éphémères. Bien que le peu de passage nous permettrait de garer le van sur la ligne blanche, on décide de s’arrêter sur le bas côté de la route. On se retrouve alors sur le flanc d’une colline qui surplombe une forêt de pins qui ont décidé de se la jouer caïds sous LSD. Leur verticalité est aussi douteuse que leur beauté est solennelle. L’air est plus froid. Beaucoup plus froid. Nos manteaux se blanchissent peu à peu. Le blanc cassé du van devient tout à coup plus propre. J’ai bien fait de ne pas dépenser 5€ supplémentaires pour la brosse lavante à l’Eléphant Bleu.

Nos premiers flocons de neige de l’hiver ont un goût exquis. Ils nous tombent dans la bouche comme une pastille d’acide. Le trip n’a jamais été aussi beau.

You have received your order but the product does not suit you?

You can return your products within 15 days of receiving your package, for any order.

For the festive season, the deadlines are extended to 30 days.

The items must not have been worn, washed or damaged and must be returned in their original packaging, in perfect condition for resale.

How do I return my package from France?

Return shipping from France is free via Mondial Relay.

To return your parcel, it is very simple :

  1. Go to “My account”, in the “My purchases” section,

  2. In the list of your orders, select your order,

  3. If your order is eligible for return, please tick each product you wish to return. If a product has been ordered in several copies, you can indicate the quantity to be returned.

  4. Indicate the reason for the return at the bottom of the order details and click on “Request a return”. You can track your return request in the “Returns” section of the “My purchases” section.

  5. Once your return request has been validated by our team, all you have to do is stick your pre-paid label (provided at the time of delivery) on the package, insert the completed returns form in the parcel and drop it off at a Mondial Relay point.

How can I return my package (International online returns)

International return packages are at the customer’s expense (including cost of shipment by the chosen carrier, customs & duties, taxes, etc.)

To return your parcel, it is very simple :

  2. In the list of your orders, select your order,

  3. If your order is eligible for return, please tick each product you wish to return. If a product has been ordered in several copies, you can indicate the quantity to be returned.
