Swing Me Softly, slow-beat for traveling
Swing me softly.. But why? Why would you want to swing me, and softly furthermore. To once again show my your kind heart, finesse or your desire ? The idea of making me your French kiss can be banished from your mind. You will not get me this time. You want to impress me with your pseudo-romantic looks. But what do you think? You’re just a sound. A simple sound, disparate and volatile. Each time you muddle my mind with your so-called games of seduction, with your ways of arse-licking and your dumb instrumentals. What pretension! It is just bullshit, bluffing. You disgust me. I can promise you that this is the last time you will hear me. This is the last time you will do me over. Wooden cross, iron cross. And if I’m lying, you know where I’ll be. You can come and find me and say I told you so this time, poor conqueror in the dark and and flames.
Moral: Only the truth angers
Names without much history, or at least for now. I call the Oneoh, Artefact Adama and Thrace, youngsters that are deluded by the Berlin beats and hip-hop beta culture. They are “Swing Me Softly”, a hip-hop instrumental group that advocates a subtle and lyrical version of the genre, with all the excesses of jazz and blues added. A lot of good things in the mix. If Josh Furey heard me, the three friends rhyme sound trips and traditions, immersed in the urban environment of the most famous cities: “New York” and Sax Coltrane of “The Havana” and the sweet heat of “Berlin” with a syrupy atmosphere. Their EP “Cities” is bursting with wandering references. So once the trip has been completed, we hope to return this with our hat and banana tight. I hope that their sounds have not said their last word.
