THE MCBESS HORROR PICTURE SHOW
Overloaded with the organization of our “Planchettes” exhibition at the Barbershop, we unfortunately could not go to the opening of “THE MCBESS HORROR PICTURE SHOW” at our friend’s gallery L’Attrape Rêve
We absolutely wanted to rectify this!
The program for this new solo artist show is: the world of horror movies in the 50s … abundance of Macabre, a real creepy atmosphere and with characters and details that swarm in the great Mcbess style. Everything is wonderfully staged.
“THE MCBESS HORROR PICTURE SHOW” will end in style on Thursday 31 October in the artist’s presence, for the most scariest of Halloween evenings …
MCBESS
Mcbess, whose real name is Matthew Bessudo, is an illustrator, 3D animator and French musician born in 1984. He lives and works in London.
Coming from the SupinfoCom school in Arles, after his studies he then joined “The Mill” where he became a director then quickly an artistic director. Passionate about art and music, in 2010 he and some buddies created a rock band called “The Dead Pirates” producing music throughout Europe.
Mcbess’s illustrations are often carried out by a rotring and speak of our world as it is, with a poetic filth, attractive vulgarity and very black humor. Taking back the codes of an ideal childhood Mcbess gives us a society without capital with each drawing, for our greatest happiness, always faithful to the subjects that he loves and which make us dream: food, girls and rock.
